Typically a Thailand fitness retreat or resort has a daily exercise program. You’ll do a group warm-up then a group class, take a break, eat then come back in the afternoon for a one on one session. Those who are very fit will do an evening class.  Almost all of the staff will come from a fitness background rather than nutrition. Your coach will make food suggestions but it is usually what works for them. Some of the better retreats will assess you and create an eating plan but beware. You will most likely eat some solid food, and a lot of the time, these retreats approach a one size fits all, which can do more harm than good.

Most of the introductory programs will be short, while you can expect the in-depth programs to take longer to complete. 

Most will be at least one week-long so that participants can enjoy the revitalization and full fitness benefits from it. We suggest a week detox then one to two weeks at a more focused fitness retreat where you eat. Remember, it’s more 80% nutrition and 20% exercise and not the other way around. You want to be able to continue when you return home.
