The New Leaf detox wellness program is structured. However, there is still enough time to do personal activities on a typical detox day or explore the beautiful island of Koh Samui. If you stick to our easy programme, you will get great results, fast. We have proven this time and time again here at New Leaf Wellness. You will get out of it what you put in, and the results will amaze you.
Activities are not compulsory, but we do recommend trying all of them at least once. You never know; you might stumble upon a newfound passion or hobby.

Maenam on the north coast of Samui is so beautiful as the sun rises. It is a great way to start the day. We offer a different guided morning walk each day that just about anyone can do. If you have mobility restrictions, we suggest a short beach walk or stick with aqua sports like an aqua spin bike, aerobics or swim training.
6:30 – 6.45 AM – Meeting in the Dining Area Overlooking the Pool and Beach
Morning supplements are served, and you can meet some of the other guests before heading out on the walk. Some days it’s a refreshing 4 km walk on the beach while other days it’s a challenging 12 km jungle loop or a hike up a hill. Don’t worry, on a typical detox day you’ll know ahead of time which morning walk it will be. If it’s not for you, you can always go for a stroll on the beach.
Our fitness instructor will be with you to ensure you’re not only safe but also provide you with encouragement and motivation. Don’t forget to bring your ‘complimentary’ stainless drink bottle you are given at your check-in briefing.
8:00 AM – Breakfast is Served
Thailand is home to some of the most delicious tropical fruits and vegetables and rests assured, and you’ll get to try most of them while with us! Our organic juices are freshly prepared, ensuring you get the best quality possible. Many of the ingredients are from our organic farm on-site. The juice type changes every day; not only will you not get tired of the same taste, but you’ll also get all the vitamins and minerals your body needs to carry out the detox program.
8:30 – 9:30 AM – Plan Your Day
During this one hour, you can check your measurements and blood pressure. Monitor your weight loss with our Program Director. We recommend you weigh in once a week or at the end of your stay. You can schedule your health and wellness private consultation, a colonic or intravenous vitamin and anti-aging infusion. Day detox and Island visitors are welcome and can book here.
NOTE: Individual daily schedules for colema, massage, personal training, IV treatments, and colonic hydrotherapy are on the whiteboard in the Dining Area.
Between breakfast and aqua sport, and water aerobics, you will have time to try the parasite zapper. You can read about the benefits of the zapper here. It’s also an excellent opportunity to chat with other guests and even make long-lasting friendships.
It’s time to get ready for water aerobics or aqua spin bike. For the next 45 minutes, our fitness instructor will work every muscle of your body. You’ll not only lose weight but also start to build strength that you may have thought you never had.
Aqua sports are low resistance, and great for rehabilitation of any injuries you might be carrying. The aqua spin bikes offer limited resistance but create an aerobic effect increasing your ‘afterburn’ metabolic rates to burn calories across a longer part of the day.
We have a beautiful 25 x 8.5-meter saltwater training pool with a shallow area (1.0 meter deep) of 80 square meters of the pool floor for aqua sports.
The New Leaf Wellness pool is deep enough to tumble turn if you are swim training and shallow enough to stand and exercise. You can read about how we placed the pool and why it is where it is in our post ‘Sun all day, designed that way‘.
10.30 AM – Herbal Steam Room
The fantastic herbal steam room, separate women and men, are perfect after the pool exercise and before lunch.
11:30 – Lunch Served
You’ll enjoy a fulfilling smoothie packed with all the energy you need to keep you on your feet and going strong. Plus, some herbal supplements to get your body into tip-top shape.
Noon – Group Activities
On a typical day at noon, you’ll be encouraged to join in the midday activity included in your package. Taste the broth of Green Curry in the Thai Cooking Class or build stamina in the Thai Boxing session. Learn about parasites in Parasites 101 or how to break the detox properly in our Nutritional Talk. There’s more to Koh Samui than just our new leaf wellness detox resort, and you’ll have the chance to explore the most beautiful, awe-inspiring sights on the free half-day Island Tour.

12-4 PM – Massage and Colema
During the afternoon, all guests will partake in a self-administered colema or a scheduled colonic. Colonics need to be booked and planned and incur a small fee. Now, we won’t go too much into this here, but this is one of the best ways to cleanse the colon, eliminate parasites (if you have any) and repopulate your gut with good bacteria. The Staff at New Leaf Wellness Detox Resort will carefully guide you through the colema process, so you know exactly how to do it.
Apart from the colema, you’ll get pampered in a daily Thai or oil massage. Realign the body, clear out stubborn toxins and promote healthy, glowing skin.
When you’re not enjoying the massage or cleansing the colon, you are free to do as you wish. Whether you want to read a book on your veranda, mingle with other guests or go out for a stroll into the beautiful village of Maenam, two minutes away. You will have the afternoon to take care of your personal needs.
2.00 PM – Green Juice Break
Don’t forget to stop by the dining area every day for your healthy green juice break before you go to your next activity—most of the ingredients grown at New Leaf in our herb and hydroponic gardens.

Whether you’ve never done Yoga before or think you’re just “not flexible enough” these classes will show you that anyone can do, and enjoy, Yoga. If you’re not into Yoga, you can always take a swim in the pool or relax. Yoga is a great way to cleanse toxins from your bodies’ pores and prepare for a good night’s rest.
4.00 PM – Yoga
Each day at four, you can centre your mind while building strength and flexibility in the daily yoga sessions. 5.00 PM – Meditation
Five days a week, there is a Meditation session following Yoga. You can opt to do this if you want to. The benefits of learning meditation and regular practice are immense on mental and physical health. Try it if you haven’t already.
5.00 PM – Far-Infrared Sauna
Each Spa room has a fantastic far-infrared sauna that holds 12 guests at a time. The benefits of this type of sauna are incredible. Reduced stress and muscle pain, increases metabolic rate to assist in fat burning, detoxifies the body, improves the appearance of cellulite, increases the immune system and improves the skin. Try and get along to one of these daily sessions and see the benefits for yourself.
6:30 PM – Dinner Soup
On a typical detox day at New Leaf for dinner, we serve freshly made in-house tasty, healthy, hearty soups. Great fuel for the next days’ activities and decreasing hunger. Many guests retire to their rooms with herbal tea and a movie by the time dinner is over. It’s a perfect way to end the busy day and prepare for another active day of your extensive detox programme at New Leaf Wellness resort.

There’s plenty of activities you can add to your day, from Personal Training and Boxing Training, Personal Yoga Sessions and Swimming Lessons. Teeth Whitening and even a private Cooking Class.
